Well, you know that Reinhart was a Nazi, but looks a gajillion years younger than he's supposed to?
Well, a long time ago, when he was still in the SS, he was MIA in Russia during the siege of Stalingrad. When he was found, however, nobody remembers him. NOBODY. Not even his own family, officers, or the fellow SS people
He got really pissed, so he killed everybody, thus [link] . However, because his bonds to people are being cut off, he gradually dehumanizes into this weird ooze black shadow thing. Thus, he spent 60-50 years like this, until he forgot his own existence. Then, 13 years ago, a girl named Yuuna, age 4, sees a "sad sad ghostie" and starts talking to him. (Yuuna's ability is to form bonds to anything and everything). She forms a bond with him, so Reinhart was able to gain his human form back. Then he cuts his hair, and Yuuna names him Ren, because they don't know his name (yet). So yeah.
Ren has 10 rings on his hand, one on each finger, to prevent him from turning back. However, Jai stole 5 of them, so Ren's going to eat Jia's pig as revenge.
